Yet, it does point to the one that "shines" when our abilities are displayed. This aspect of humility focuses on the phrase in verse 7 which says that the master "made Himself of no reputation". The Greek word used means "to make empty".

With all that Christ did for us, He didn't focus on making Himself "something". In our social media conscious world, all content creators want impact and a wider range of views, followers, likes, etc. As believers, we sincerely need to examine our motives, especially in this space. Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." So I agree. Let your light shine! Let your abilities shine! The Lord has blessed you with talents, giftings, and other things that will cause you to stand out. But when you shine WHO GETS THE GLORY? This can be a tight line, I admit. But we have the sweet presence of the Spirit of God to lead, guide, and guard us even from ourselves.
Take a look at Joshua 6:27: "So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country." Remember, when His presence brings you fame, to acknowledge that HIS presence brought it. Are you looking to break out into your own thing? Cool, but remember this concerning sowing into others: "if you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?" (Luke 16:12). Would you like to be appreciated for all of the work you do? Fine, but beware of loving the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12:43).

Thank you, Father, for your presence in my life. This blessing had to be connected with what God said to them afterwards because “God blessed them” and then “God said…” The blessing declared in Genesis 1:28 can be broken down to answer three questions for man.

1. What do you want me to be?

2. What do you want me to do?

3. What do you want me to have?

Answers –

1. Be fruitful. This is a deeply layered word that certainly means more than just “have babies.”

2. Multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it. These words denote overflowing the present borders and boundaries while keeping order and being responsible for its state. (Notice “subdue it” not other people.)

3. Have dominion over fish, fowl and every living thing that moves upon the earth. That’s sea, air, and land. So technically, we could be considered S.E.A.L.’s. (Oh yes we are a special force unit!!)

When mankind rebelled against God through sin (Gen 3) we did not lose a religion (Which is why it is important to see that Jesus did not come to establish one). We lost the covenant of blessing that empowered us to put everything else in order, let alone the fact that we lost our place with and in Him. Remember that the blessing itself was a declaration. It is putting faith in the source of the declaration, as well as what was actually declared, that brings or bestows and empowerment to (1) be, (2) do, and (3) have that declared thing. Hebrew 11: 6 probably says it best:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

We must not only believe He is (exists and is able) but also that He is a rewarder. This is huge. Many people love to declare, “Oh, God is able.” But the word translated rewarder here literally means “giver of wages.” (1) So there must be an expectation, as well, to receive the believed thing. Exist and expect. Yet, taking a step back, before an expectation can be built, there must be a certainty of His will concerning the believed thing (not just a casual attitude of “well, if it’s your will, Lord.” which takes James 4:15 out of context.) It is His word that reveals His will. (More in future writings on this)

We thank the Father for Jesus (Yahshua) who redeemed man from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13) and restored the blessing back to us as believers in Him (remember exist and expect still applies.) Now we have a process of putting His mind in us through His word to shed and remove the sin-tainted and toxic mindset and life to which we were born; and the newness of life and fulness of the blessing can be seen in and on us to affect this world as was God’s original plan

The Amplified Bible renders the word blessed as - happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous - with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions. Yet, the true power of the blessing is that through love, faith and this inner prosperity, outer prosperity must follow. Those who believe and wish to tie disease, sickness, depression, poverty, famine and other world ills as God’s plan or caused by God believe this separately from the full council of the Bible.

See Jeremiah 29:11; John10:10; 3 John 1:2; Psalms 23:2; 2 Timothy 1:7; Psalms 103:2; Proverbs 10:22; Isaiah 54:17; Proverbs 12:21; (I could do this all day but we’ll press on.)

The blessing does not mean that there will not be hardships in life. Even so, when it does not seem like the declarations of the word are coming to pass in our lives never lose confidence in His will to bless or empower to overcome different aspects of life. There are many scriptural reasons why we don’t always see God’s best but remember that the blessing was established first. Love, peace, joy, fulfillment, health, prosperity, etc. all flow out of it. Regardless of where you are on the journey or what you may have, here are some last notes for implementing or activating the blessing TO BE SEEN in and on your life:

1. Remember that the blessing was established through God’s faithful declaration.

2. Be confident that the blessing was not only meant to be declared but also to be seen.

3. The blessing is drawn quickly to people of purpose (which are those who commit themselves to be, do, and have as God directs which was noted earlier.) If you do not plan to seek and follow God’s lead then why seek His blessing?

4. Continue in those declarations to move fears, doubts and unbelief until they are seen in your life.

Here are some verses to declare the blessing. Remember that “man” here is not said with respect to gender but as in “mankind.”

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

…and I am that man (woman)

Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

…and I am that man (woman)

Psalm 84:5
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee

…and I am that man (woman)

Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

…and I am that man (woman)

James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

…and I am that man (woman)

OK…Then Go and be blessed.

J.E.

(1) – Strongs #3406

Are Emotions Harmful?

https://www.yashalife.net/the-word-worx/are-emotions-harmful

https://www.yashalife.net/the-word-worx/are-emotions-harmful#comments

Uncategorized

Emotions are beautiful, God-given, and vital for spirit beings to stay connected with this natural (human) experience. His divine power has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3) and He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3). Humility aligns us with receiving and bringing to manifestation these reserved empowerments and enablements that we may live and operate beyond our abilities. “Grace to the humble”.

Thank you Father for your patient, love and grace. Your loving-kindness is better than life. It is so freeing to know that I don't have to have all of the answers and that I can lower myself, my ways, and my will to You and You bestow upon me Your greater. I receive Your greater wisdom for my ignorance, Your greater direction for my waywardness, and Your greater comfort for my storms. Thank you for showing me that there is power available for my life as I walk in humble submission to You. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus) I pray.

My life is not my own. I have been bought with a price. I don't put any trust in my skills, abilities, or resources. I lower myself that I may put on and move by God's greater which never fails. I also refuse to give any significant place to my trials and difficulties. I am not acting like they don't exist but I choose to lower myself and my fears concerning them that I may put on my God's greater solutions and remedies. My efforts alone will always leave me lacking. His anointing fills me to more than enough in every area of my life.

2 Peter 1:3; Ephesians 1:3;

Faith in Flight: Birds in The Word

https://www.yashalife.net/the-word-worx/faith-in-flight-birds-in-the-word

https://www.yashalife.net/the-word-worx/faith-in-flight-birds-in-the-word#comments

assurance

confidence

effective prayer

encouragement

godliness

growing in knowledge

mind renewal

provision

right motives

spirit filled words

the word delivers

yashalife

Like birds flying about, So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Mark 11:14

Since we now can see that Jesus’ words had immediate effect, even if those effects were not immediately seen (part 2), let’s look more closely at the process by which His faith filled words worked:

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. - Mark 11:20

The way that many of us and most of the medical establishment deals with sickness and illnesses is quite backwards. If someone has a headache, they may call the headache the problem or if someone has a fever, they may call the fever the problem. Yet, for the most part these are not problems but signs of a problem.

Primarily, these types of signs serve two purposes: One, a sign to let you know that something is out of balance or order. Two, the proper operation of the body in bringing itself back to balance. For example with the headache, when someone is dehydrated the blood vessels in the head may contract to stay full. If they didn't contract, the empty parts may become filled with gas pockets which would be extremely dangerous. Yet this same healthy reaction of contracting blood vessels around the brain could lead to a headache. In like manner if a bacterial or viral illness was infecting our body, the body may move the hypothalamus, which is the body’s thermostat, to raise the body temperature causing a fever. But the purpose of raising the temperature is to burn out the bacterial spores and resulting toxins. So we can see that in fighting the signs we could be delaying the healing.

God’s plan is not to “medicate” us into feeling better. He wants us to BE better and this happens through the process of going to the root of our issues. So then many times when we pray about a certain area in our lives we may (like with the headache or fever) initially experience things getting worse in that area. Yet, let us not be moved in our faith because other things may have to be unsettled or disturbed in the process of getting to the root cause.

Consider this process: To the tree, Christ declared: “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever”. Yet for fruit production to cease, the branch flow of nutrients had to stop; To stop the branch flow, the tree trunk needed to stop sending up nutrients; To stop sending up nutrients, the roots needed to stop absorbing nutrients; And we are told that the tree dried up “from the roots.” What process might you be in concerning manifesting your health, deliverance, relational wellness, ministry, etc? Receive by faith knowledge from God to know root causes. Receive by faith the Spirit’s working in and on your life for them to be “dried up”. May you live in His faith and patience and experience His peace and fullness of joy.

Eternal loving Father, we are thankful for Your presence in our lives. It is both a treasure and a pleasure to know that You are lovingly involved in our development every day. Your love is truly unlimited and Your greatness is truly unsearchable. Thank you for creating us anew in Yahshua (Jesus), Your son. Your word tells us that “the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly” and we recognize that it is You who is working in us both to will and to do what pleases You. With faith we cooperate with this process. With patience we stand in your reproof, correction, and instructions along the way. We pray for expedience in the process that we may go forth empowered, full, and lacking nothing to affect this world for Your glory and with Your salvation, while also experiencing the benefits that you have promised. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus) we pray and receive.

In the name of Yahshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Christ), patience is having her perfect work in me, that I may be perfect, complete, and lacking nothing. We thank the Father for the unity of scripture which gives us balance with this:

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. - Mark 11:20

So it was not until the morning that they actually saw this. So then how can something happen immediately but not seen until later? THIS is the faith life of a believer! Every time we pray, regardless of what we see, it is for us to believe inside and speak outside: “It’s working!” Immediate spiritual power is changing and moving natural things. We need to know that God’s word of power is working in us immediately. It is working for us instantly. For example:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Think about it, one can be instantly new yet with the same old hang-ups. One can be immediately new yet with the same old problems. How can this be? Hang in there… it’s working! I admit dear reader, it would be sooo much easier if every time we pray “ba-da-boom”: issues resolved, answers given, bodies healed, finances appearing. Yet this would not necessarily mean growth! We are to walk by faith and not by sight. We really want spirit led hearts to hear and to do the will of the Father and let increase follow after. Well this comes by continually seeking the Father, “staying in faith”, patiently enduring, resisting Satan, walking out our victory and not changing our testimony. NO, this is not always easy. But the thing to keep in heart (not just mind) is that whenever we pray, whatever we say, we must know and continually declare that it’s working. It’s working. It’s working.

Precious Almighty Father, we are thankful that you have not only made us new, but that You continue to make us new that we may be the new that we already are. You are awesome like that. You know us so intimately and yet you mature us so tenderly. Your patience and mercy for us is beyond comprehension. It’s kinda like You just believe that one day, through all of this, that we are just going to eventually “get it” and stop doubting Your love and commitment to us. And if You, who made us and knows us so well, has the faith that we will do right and overcome the obstacles of our lives, then the least that we can do is to believe you and receive Your love and power to carry it out. Thank You for Your Son. Thank You for Your word. Thank You for the confidence to know beyond what we see that “it’s working… It’s working... It’s working”. And his disciples heard it. Mark 11:14

The context of this verse is really tied to verse 13 which says, “And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.”

One may first ask that if “the time of figs was not yet” then why did the master expect to see figs? Background study shows that the fig tree produces two types of figs: One, the early fig (also referred to as “winter” or “green” figs) called “paggim” which were a smaller fig produced on the strength of nutrients left in the branch during the winter, and the second was the full fig which was produced later after the leaves. So, ultimately, although it was not time for the “full” figs, if it had leaves it was communicating that it at least had early figs.

In future sections we will discuss overall faith building insights concerning this, but for now, let us focus on the fact that Jesus “answered” the fig tree. This “answered” comes from the Hebrew word that means “to begin to respond”. This is not to say that the fig tree verbally spoke to Him, but it was communicating untruth. The Word of God is truth. Believers ARE what it says we are even if it does not yet appear. At creation we were told:

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen 1:28

The key word here is “subdue” which means to “bring into order”. Yet, how can mankind bring THE EARTH into order? Well it starts with the same way in which our God created it… by words of authority and faith, and we were made in His image and likeness. Believers are Kingdom citizens that are authorized to take dominion to subdue and bring order. The process of accessing the already-prepared, grace empowerment of God to perform this begins with not just answering people (1 Peter 3:15) but also answering things. Oh yes, your wallet may speak lack to you. Your body may speak pain to you. The weather may speak threats to you. Your neighborhood may speak fear to you. Your job may speak stress and uncertainty to you. To change and deal with this, beloved, is not God’s job. He, through the finished, redemptive works of His son Jesus, has already supplied ALL we need to see change in this world and He expects us to believe, walk in and overcome by His spirit and anointing. His word reveals what is His will and what we should be praying and declaring. The Master spoke and took authority over trees, storms, wind, waves and just when the disciples where about to “marvel” and get impressed about how the fig tree dried up and died after Jesus cursed it, He took it further and dropped this on them:

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Matthew 21:21

Last note, it’s funny how many people are familiar with “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17) and yet have not grasped the rest of the verse which says “and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Whatever it or they say to you, meditate on and speak out what the master said concerning it. This is not just about you but preparing an environment for His word and will to go forth as well as an environment for His eminent return for those that believe.

Precious, powerful God our Father, We delight in the very mention of your name. It is above all others and worthy to be praised. By your spirit and grace, you have given us power and authority in the Earth to speak forth Your truth AND EXPECT to see what we say. We recognize that this does not mean that we name and claim whatever we feel we want, but to declare the good that you already have for us. We receive the spirit of boldness, courage, bravery, and resistance to speak to our bodies, our finances, our streets, temptations, fears and anything else that lies against the truth. Thank You for teaching us that we can subdue circumstances and answer things. Regardless of what we may face or go through, thank you for reminding us that with You, we win. With You, we overcome. We will answer things. This should become a daily practice. Then, when lustful, fearful, wayward, or oppressive thoughts come there will be power to simply respond aloud with something like “This is not my thought.
