Are Emotions Harmful?

Emotions are beautiful, God-given, and vital for spirit beings to stay connected with this natural (human) experience. They are used to help us develop in our relationships, to motivate us to move with compassion in helping others, or even simple things like enjoying a sunset or a snowfall and so much more.

The problem is that they will continually attempt to exalt themselves that the whole system may be brought under and operate by them which is at the core of almost every mental or physical sickness.
No matter how great our nutritional or exercise regimen may be, we will never get past the need to take authority and allow only balance in the areas of our emotions, thoughts, and decisions. Yet, don't be discouraged. This is marathon and not a sprint. May the Eternal strengthen and empower your journey.

Father, I thank you for your protection that is found in our faith in Christ. You are our protector, shielding us from sickness and disease. You are our provider and our peace. Your word says that we don't have to fear the disease that stalks in the darkness because Your promises are true and timeless. Because of Your love, power, and supply I no longer have to allow fear, stress, worry, or anger to have a stronghold in my household. For You did not give me a spirit of timidity to handle life’s issues, but You gave me a spirit of power, love and sound judgment with the ability of personal discipline, calmness and a well-balanced mind. I thank you for giving, preserving, and causing me to grow in this through Christ, your son.

I stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and I am not entangled again with the yoke of any bondage. Emotional bondage, physical bondage, sexual bondage, and financial bondage. I speak life, peace, and wellness to my body. Every organ, muscle, and tissue is revitalized through knowledge of the love and peace of God for I am loved, accepted, and transformed in Him. I am not overcome with evil, but I overcome evil with good.
