Honor marriage, and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband. God draws a firm line against casual and illicit sex. Hebrews 13:4 (Message) Meditate on these following verses and personalize them. Don't focus on the current state of the relationship: "What she doesn't do"; "What he did"; "She doesn't trust me"; "He takes me for granted"; "She's always complaining"; "He's only intimate for sex"; and on and on. These may be valid thoughts and feelings, but what we dwell on we empower to grow. You cannot "change" someone else but the word can change you both. See what the word declares as spiritual truth that is coming to be naturally seen as you draw it out with faith. Speak healing, forgiveness, and renewal. Speak, believe and stand. You may be directed for a faith filled action or faith filled silence. You will know. Let God flow.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. – Psalm 103:1 Many times, I have heard this verse stated as “I will bless the Lord…” as if this verse was a declaration, but it is not. It is an encouragement. The psalm writer paints a picture that is repeated a few times in the psalms. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. – Mark 11:24 It is unfortunate that many think that “having faith” requires us to trust God not knowing what to expect next. If we carry this thought out, it could lead us to a place where we believe that God wants us to live in uncertainty to prove our faith for Him. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. - Revelation 21:5
There are a few different Greek words used for “new” in the New Testament and they all bring out different points of emphasis. There is new in terms of age; new as to say “another one” or something done again; and Psalm 91:11-12 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” There are two key words that bring out the strength of this verse. 2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” In the Greek, the phrase “causeth us to triumph” is an expression of a word that more closely translates to “leads us in or to triumph”. In other words, God is not as much “causing" it as He is leading us in it. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. - Isaiah 54:17 Notice that this verse not only deals with this wonderful, beginning declaration of divine protection but also the authority to speak with boldness against (or resist) anything that attempts to say otherwise. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11 The word interpreted as “thoughts” here in the King James is also rendered as “plans” in other translations. It is a Hebrew word that means both my For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7 When in times of trial and weakness, remember to fan the flames of what God put in you as a believer; the tenacity, the boldness, the spiritual backbone. You may feel inept or unqualified to handle or deal with certain things and the |
