Psalm 91:11-12 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” There are two key words that bring out the strength of this verse. The word “charge” could be rendered appointment. The next question would then be “What are they appointed to do?” This brings us to word two, “keep”, which means to hedge about, guard or attend to. The vital part to remember is that even though they have been given charge, the word continues to tell us that they hearken unto the “voice” of his word (Psalm 103:20). So a huge part of the authority of the believer is giving voice to God’s word in faith that the angels would carry out their charge and that the “keeping” of the Lord would be seen in our lives.
Thank you, Lord, for the daily protection of the angels. You gave them a special charge over us that we be protected in all our ways. They show the depth of your care for us. By faith we receive their work and trust You and Your word all the more. Regardless of what we are going through, we know that You are still protecting us and bringing us out into our wealthy place. Your nurturing, patient care is not only with us in the great storms of life but You are also deeply affected even when we stub our toes… You’re awesome, Father, and we honor you for the favor given to us. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus), we call you angels who do the commandments of our God that you would carry out your given charge. Go forth and prepare a way of protection before us as we go; that the harvest of the Lord’s keeping would be seen in and on our lives. This is not just for our personal benefit, but the Kingdom must increase and souls are at stake. Psalm 103:20; Psalm 66:12; 2 Thes 3:3
