Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. – Mark 11:24 It is unfortunate that many think that “having faith” requires us to trust God not knowing what to expect next. If we carry this thought out, it could lead us to a place where we believe that God wants us to live in uncertainty to prove our faith for Him. But this is not a picture of biblical faith. This is bondage, disarming and creates a wide open door for fear to operate in our lives. Sure, God is full of surprises and we’ll never know “how” He’s working it out or what it will all look like in the end; but biblical faith is empowered by confidence. This God-empowered, humbly-received confidence is locked onto the expectation of the believed thing that God has declared. So the expectation must be clear for biblical faith to work effectively. Anyone can say “God can”, but it takes a fear-delivered, spirit-minded, word-filled believer to say in the midst of uncertainty that “God will.”
Precious loving Father, how excellent you are in all the Earth. Your ways are wonderful and far beyond “finding out.” Yet, we are so thankful that we are assured of the truth that You never lie and will never come short of the promises in Your word. Every day, You continue to show Yourself as loving and trustworthy. The more that I walk with You, the more I want to. I am thankful for every opportunity that you give me to share your goodness with others. Your joy is so rich in me that I forget my own issues. I am certain that You already got it covered. In Yahshua (Christ) I pray. Psalm 62:5; Rom 11:23; Hebrews 3:14
