The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. - Psalm 23:1 This is a familiar verse but don’t look at it with religiously dulled eyes. This is pure power for those who meditate on it. In Hebrew, the verse simply reads: YHVH Rohe, lo ecksar which means “YHVH shepherd, no lack.” This is a statement of present truth not a future promise. So “I shall not want” could be rendered “I do not lack.” The shepherd has provided. Have you received? Speak to every mountain that comes against the truth. Tell your body “I do not lack.” Tell your mind “I do not lack.” Tell your pocketbook “I do not lack.” Tell your house “I do not lack.” Tell it, tell it, tell it, and never let it go. Consistently applied faith brings spiritual truth into natural places. My precious loving Father and shepherd, Your word says that they who seek You shall not be in want of any good thing and that No good thing would you withhold from us. So I believe that because You are my shepherd now, I don’t lack anything now. Where I see lack in my life I recognize that these are lies against the truth. But I don’t act like they are not there. By faith I call on Your provision to be seen that the fulness of the truth may be made manifest for my benefit but more importantly for Your glory and Kingdom. In Yahshua (Christ) I pray and declare. Psa. 34:10; Psa. 84:11; Eph. 3:20
