He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. – Psalm 23:3 There is such tremendous depth in this entire psalm but in these writings we are focusing on the faith building aspect. For faith to be effective, our hope and expectation level must stay strong. Issues of life and health can certainly weary us over time. Yet, through our shepherd, we have access to an inner retreat. The word “restore” here means reset or brought back. Also, being His people, He leads us in ways of uprightness for the sake of His name. Remember that your reputation is not on the line here but His name, faithfulness, and reputation are on the line to lead and provide for us and enable us to walk upright. He will never come short. We should be mindful to exercise putting all of our reliance and trust in Him, with nothing wavering, to see the path and provision that He has already made.
By you, Lord, I am mentally and emotionally refreshed through all that life throws at me. I know that the exceeding riches of Your grace in Your kindness is continually pointed towards me. It has a healing affect on the whole of my body. So, I am not moved by what I see, but by faith I see my next move. Thank you for your leading, guiding and guarding. I receive this into my life to be made manifest based on the trustworthiness of Your word. In the always faithful name of Yahshua (Jesus) I pray. Prov. 13:12; Heb. 11:1; Eph. 2:7
