But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord - James 1:6.7 Some may say “Oh when I pray, I just ask and leave it up to God ‘cause He knows best.” Well certainly He does but praying “if it’s the Lord’s will” works with goals and planning (James 4:15) but, sorry, according to the scriptures that’s not good enough concerning what He expressly tells us. Ephesians 5:17 says “be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Our prayers are either in Faith (a trusting, confident reliance with expectation) or wavering (an occasion of indecision or hesitation). Since faith comes by hearing His word, then continually hearing, meditating, and applying the word must be a remedy for wavering. We must believe without hesitation that there is a reward for our diligence, and then continue to stand expecting the desired outcome regardless of situation, time, or present outlook. This is not arrogance that supposes what God will do, but confidence to receive what He said He would do.
Thank you, Father, for life, health, strength, and liberty. By Your sufficient grace, they are seen more and more in my life regardless of the degree that I may see of them right now. Thank you for Your Son, who never wavered to sacrifice His life for me, but provided a full salvation that delivered me from the path to Hell and into the path of joy with You. Thank you for Your Spirit that now lives within me, but not only “lives” but never wavers to speak to me if I would listen, guide me if I would let go, and empower me if I would only receive. You never waver with me. There is no “shadow of turning” in You. So I honor You by refusing to waver in believing the promises of Your word for me. There is no one like You. There is none like You. If my way should seem too hard or if I should feel unsure in my beliefs, I will sing of my God’s love; I will openly declare His power to save and deliver from confusion; and I will stay in His word until faith comes. For Godly faith comes by hearing Godly words. I leave no room for wavering. My harvest is at stake. Body! Settle down and conform to the image of the Son who never wavered. Mind! Be still and release all worry and doubt. The God we serve is more than able. Satan! You are a defeated foe and I resist your weapons of confusion. God gave me His peace. God gave me His peace. GOD gave me HIS peace. Exod 3:14; James 4:5; John 14:27
