But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. - 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 Deep refers to the seas or a body of water 37 times in the scriptures, and gives a picture of great unknown, unsearchable areas. With all of our technology today there are still areas in the depths of the sea that have never been seen or explored. The pressure to go to these depths is beyond anything we have created. The farther down we go, the more protective equipment is needed to survive. Even more so is “the deep things of God.” They can't be figured out but they can be revealed. Sure, there is much that we can learn and live by as believers through just a casual relationship with the Father; but to receive “peace that passes all understanding” is a deep thing; to receive “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” is a deep thing; and certainly to be “filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” is a deep thing. We should spend time and “press in” through faith, knowing that, in all this depth, no one is ever overlooked and nothing is ever unaccounted for. God is not deep to be mysterious as religion may portray Him. He is deep to be explored and humbly sought after and inquired upon.
Father, I am so glad that even though my eyes did not see it and my ears did not hear it, You have and are revealing to me such great and deep things about Yourself, myself, my destiny, and my calling. I depend upon Your divine guidance as I do the air I breathe. You are precious and Your words are highly esteemed in my life. It is a pleasure to submit daily time worshipping and learning of You. As Your word goes deeper into my heart, it reflects in my ways, my peace, my health, and my resources. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus) I pray and for Your kingdom I receive. Dan 2:21-23; Col 1:9; Eph 3:20
