“…he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” – Psalm 121: 3b-4 When it comes to watching over His people, God is completely and totally aware of what is going on in our lives at all times. The word “slumber” here is given in the same sense of “nodding off.” In other words He doesn’t get tired and doesn’t get weary. In that day, there was an assigned watchman at night who looked out for the safety of the group while the others slept. This is a picture of why we need to call upon the protective watch of the Lord so that we can trust or “rest” in Him. We are free to let it all go. We can rest from fear, stress, worries, frustrations, and cast all our care upon him; for he cares for us.” His rest is perfect and He can keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him. Heavenly Father, we thankfully receive Your protective watch over our lives and all that we have. We know that You watch so that Your people can rest. Not resting as in doing nothing, but resting in the completeness of Your provision through Christ; and now without any reservations, we are free to be directed by Your Spirit. What we don’t see, teach us. Where we lack understanding, we receive Your revelation, that we may believe you and receive ALL that the Lord Yahshua (Jesus) has paid for to Your glory. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus Christ) we pray. No more walking the floor at night. No more worrying about what I don’t see in my hands or what I don’t currently feel in my body. God has given me perfect rest. I am well protected. I am well provided for. I compassionately feel for all that others are going through, but regardless of what happens to whom, I shall not be moved from my faith to believe for God’s greatest to be seen in and through my life. He is a faithful watcher and provider. I trust him and I rest well. Isaiah 26:3; Mark 11:23; Hebrews 4:9
