Medical terminology can be quite intimidating and confusing, even for people in the field. Moreover, add to it the authoritative manner of many doctors and the end result could be overwhelmed people who really don't express their concerns before agreeing to take certain medications or have a particular procedure or surgery, or, even worse, run and neglect their health altogether.Yet, with a better understanding of the basics of medical terminology, we would be empowered to take a more proactive part in our health overall. These Greek (and Latin) based root words, prefixes, and

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Association (FDA) only a drug can legally make a claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Understand, then, that the billions of dollars ($5.1 budgeted in 2010) that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) spends yearly is doing just that: Looking to find and market a drug, not necessarily a cure. If a “cure” was found from a natural food, herb or supplement, two things are clear. One, it would not be able to legally be called a cure because foods are not drugs. Two, why spend billions of dollars researching something that can’t be patented for exclusive right or that people could grow in their own back yard? Knowing this, is it really beyond possibility that in order to protect the
Gout is the most common inflammatory arthritis in the United States with three to five million afflicted individuals."
Oil pulling therapy is called ‘kavala graham’ in Ayurvedic literature. It is the practice of swishing sesame, sunflower, coconut, or another type of edible oil in the mouth, which draws out or ‘pulls’ bacteria and other toxins into the oil. Usually, the first thing that most people notice when they start oil pulling is an improvement in their teeth, gums and overall oral health. Yet, beyond the mouth, there are thousands of years of documentation concerning cures of various illnesses and diseases from all over the body. This PDF from the Journal of International Oral Health reviews the background and procedure of oil pulling. This is a simple way to add to your oral care regimen beyond what any dentist could perform. Also, the links below are to studies confirming its role, its safety, and its holistic effectiveness in oral health. Beyond that, the research is up to you. May the Eternal lead your journey. “What we have to do is promote the health of the body, not the wiping out of the bacteria.” – John Bergman It is countercultural and even counterintuitive for many to think “good” bacteria. Yet, this must become an emphasis in our daily lives with so much evidence of beneficial bacterial in our intestines coupled with that fact that 80 percent of our immune system is in our intestines. There is great importance to adding living cultures of good bacteria to overcome pathogenic bacteria and for our overall wellness and health. This video not only gives basic information about gut health and the lacto-fermentation process but also displays the ease at which one can begin to safely and effectively incorporate (and create) these foods on their own.
This film, and others that may follow like it, must be made a part of the informed consent of any woman before she submits herself to a procedure of this sort - Dr. Bernard Nathanson Jan 22, 2013, marked the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision. Since that times, 55,000,000 abortions have been performed in the U.S. alone (link to data below). Yet, although the rate has tapered off in the last few year, it still seems that the decision to abort is being made without all of the facts presented about what really happens.
"No physician in his right senses would prescribe for a person he has never met, whose medical history he does not know, a substance which is intended to create bodily change, with the advice: 'Take as much as you like, but you will take it for the rest of your life because some children suffer from tooth decay. ' It is a preposterous notion." - Dr Peter Mansfield, member of a Fluoride Working Group, UK National Health Service
The question here, dear friends, is not about the toxicity of fluoride in it's various forms and sources, but is there an intentional agenda in place to misrepresent what is known (or not known) concerning implementing fluoride into our water supply, let alone our toothpaste.
Most times when we think about getting healthy and dealing with health issues we think about exercise, nutrition and medicine. Unfortunately, we really don’t think about how we “think” and the spiritual roots of disease. Henry W. Wright, author of “A More Excellent Way”, deals with this issue in an excerpt from one of his “Be In Health” Conferences. May the insights inspire you to take a more proactive stance in your own health and that you may “defeat and prevent disease using the discernment God has given mankind to produce wholeness of spirit, soul, and body.” – Be in Health.
Our nervous system works 24 hours a day. Even during sleep, the nerves and spinal muscles never rest. The proper flow of energy through the nerves is vital for normal function and health. The brain sends “messages” down the spinal cord, which branch out to the spinal nerves, and then to the different organs of the body. The organs then send a corresponding “message” back through the nerves, up the spinal cord, and back to the brain.
