"If you simply believe the Bible then that's sufficient for you, but the world is asking good questions and if we can't answer the good questions that the world is asking then they have no reason to listen to us at all." - Dr. Grady McMurtry There is a great misconception that faith and science cannot co-exist, but the reality is that they work best together, especially when the science is done in truth without bias.

"... holding the Word of God in mind until it has affected every area of one's life and character." Andrew Murray on meditation Right off the top, one of the greatest differences between Biblical meditation and transcendental or yoga meditation is that instead of emptying one's mind to quietness, it is about continually filling one's mind with God's word. There certainly are levels of peace, wisdom, motivation, and balance that we may attain naturally through our own practices of mental stillness, but what the Scriptures refer to in the 30+ times that they speak of "meditation", "pondering", etc. is much greater and leads to having access to even more. On the surface, it may not seem like there is a huge difference between saying "God Causes" and God Allows", but I felt that this classic video teaching by Charles Capps from 1985, deals beautifully with this often misinterpreted and misrepresented issue. The actual title of his teaching is "How Christians Avoid Tragedy" and while God's will concerning our health and wellness may not be the specific topic, it gives a great foundation to understand and appreciate the fact that, concerning our well being, God is not our problem; He's our solution. He's not against us; He's for us.
Suzette Caldwell’s testimony of being healed from an aggressive type of breast cancer is miraculous and inspiring. She credits prayer but not in a tradition sense, but in the sense of taking “scriptures as medicine”.
"The publication of this work may be regarded as a testimony of my faith in divine healing. After being stopped for more than two years in the exercise of my ministry, I was healed by the mercy of God in answer to the prayer of those who see in Him 'the Lord that healeth thee'" (Exodus 15:26). - Andrew Murray (1828-1917)
This beautifully expounded classic work presents a wealth of scriptural balance with its teachings and is full of faith provoking insights. It is accessed to our readers through public domain. Stay in faith!
Most times when we think about getting healthy and dealing with health issues we think about exercise, nutrition and medicine. Unfortunately, we really don’t think about how we “think” and the spiritual roots of disease. Henry W. Wright, author of “A More Excellent Way”, deals with this issue in an excerpt from one of his “Be In Health” Conferences. May the insights inspire you to take a more proactive stance in your own health and that you may “defeat and prevent disease using the discernment God has given mankind to produce wholeness of spirit, soul, and body.” – Be in Health.
Question: How do we know whether it’s God’s will to heal us or not? Answer: What did He say about it? The link below is to a PDF file that extensively deals with this. Many accuse that those that believe in healing have their "set" of scriptures that lean their way and ignores the rest of the scriptures. This document from Keith Moore simply presents the scriptures. Faithful study is our responsibility. May the Spirit of the Almighty reveal and establish truth and build faith and confidence in the hearers of the Word.
