“The light of the body is the eye…” – Matthew 6:22a The iris is not only the colorful portion and most distinctive feature of the eye, but also has been an area of study for health purposes for thousands of years. Yet, not until the mid 19th century had the study of Iridology really been brought to light. . Although thought of as a “fringe” practice to the mainstream, Iridology is an alternative, holistic approach to health care in which the Iridologist claims to be able to diagnose medical conditions through abnormalities of pigmentation in the iris. Dr. Bernard Jensen was a pioneer in holistic and alternative health and a leader in the science and application of Iridology. He provided extensive training programs and certification in Iridology to doctors and practitioners worldwide. The link below is to his full-sized iridology eye chart which really gives us a strong view into the in-depth and all-inclusive nature of the study. The PDF link below is by John Andrews who has a Practice in East Yorkshire combining the technology in Iridology with herbal medicine and other dynamic natural health approaches with a scientific, functional & holistic basis. Lastly, to show how it is all “connected” this video by Rudy Silva shows the connection between iridology and constipation. Even though Iridology is popular in many countries, it is up to each of us to do our own research. Yet, it is not outside of the realm of possibility for those of faith to believe that the “light of the body” could give insight into its wellness. “The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.” - Proverbs 20:12 library.thinkquest.org/24206/iridology.html www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10213874

The study of iridology is something that I don't want to deal with. It's Complicatec and full of things to memorize. One of the reasons why I took Mass Communication in college is because I want to stay away from science and math related subjects. Optometry, iridology, and other forms of surgery courses are just too complicated for me and I don't think my brain cells are complicated to understand.
