Our nervous system works 24 hours a day. Even during sleep, the nerves and spinal muscles never rest. The proper flow of energy through the nerves is vital for normal function and health. The brain sends “messages” down the spinal cord, which branch out to the spinal nerves, and then to the different organs of the body. The organs then send a corresponding “message” back through the nerves, up the spinal cord, and back to the brain. The relationship between Christ and the church is often compared to that of the head and the body. The word tells us that Christ is the head “from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.” (Col. 2:19). So then “hearing the word of God” affects our peace, joy, increase, unity with Him as well as other members of the body, and our overall supply of spiritual empowerment. So is it a stretch to consider that our physical health could be affected in like manner? The specialty of a chiropractor is to maintain or fix the flow of these “messages” for a healthy functioning body. A blockage of this message transmission is called Vertebral Subluxation and can result in sickness and disease. This link is to an excellent spinal chart showing these possible connections between your symptoms and spinal alignment. Proper message flow promotes healing, health and wellness in the areas of spirit, soul, and body. May the “Master Chiropractor” lead you concerning these issues.
